Pattern Notes
The lace shoulder panels are worked first. The rest of the top is worked by picking up stitches from the side edge of the shoulder panels from the top down. Worked from top-down. The armholes are shaped and the rest of the body is knit to the bottom edge. The front neckline is created by a little shaping and the rest of the body is worked same as back.

Shoulder panel (Make 2)
With larger needles, CO 31 sts.
Work Rows 1-10 of Maren Leaves panel 6 (7, 8, 9, 10) times. Fasten off.
Back
With larger needles and RS facing of first shoulder panel, pick up 31 (36, 41, 46, 51) sts along long edge of panel starting from shoulder edge toward neck, cable CO 38 sts for back neck, then pick up 31 (36, 41, 46, 51) sts along long edge of second shoulder panel starting from neck edge towards shoulder. (100 (110, 120, 130, 140) sts)
Work in St st until piece measures 5.5 (6, 6.5, 7, 7.5)”.
Armhole
BO 5 sts at the beginning of next 2 rows for underarm. (90 (100, 110, 120, 130) sts)
Work in St st until piece measures 24 (24, 25, 25, 26)” from the center of the Maren Leaves shoulder panel.
Work 8 rows (4 ridges) in garter st. BO all sts loosely.
Front
Right front
Pick up and knit 31 (36, 41, 46, 51) sts along the front of the right shoulder panel.
Work in St st for 2″ then increase one st on the neck side every other row 7 (7, 8, 8, 9) times ending with a RS row. (38 (43, 49, 54, 60) sts)
Place sts on hold.
Left front
Work same as for right front. (38 (43, 49, 54, 60) sts)
Leave sts on needle.
Front body
With RS still facing, cable CO 24 (24, 22, 22, 20) sts, then cont working across held right front sts. (100 (110, 120, 130, 140) sts)
Complete as for back including armhole decreases. (90 (100, 110, 120, 130) sts)
Finishing
Seam side seams.
Sleeve edging
With smaller needles and RS facing, pick up 70 (75, 80, 85, 90) sts along sleeve edge. Work 6 rows (3 ridges) in garter st. Bind of all sts loosely.
Neck edging
With smaller needles, starting at the center of back neck, pick up and knit 150 (150, 160, 164, 170) sts around neckline. Work 8 rows of k1, p1. BO all sts loosely.
Weave in all ends. Block top to size.
