Special Stitches
Interrupted rib pattern (2-st rep):
Next Row (RS): P1, *k1, p1; rep to last st, p1.
Next Row (WS): Purl.
3-Needle BO method
Hold the two needles with the sts parallel and slip a third (working) needle into the first stitch on each of the two needles. Wrap yarn around working needle as if to knit, and knit the two stitches together. Drop the first stitch from each of the parallel needles off the needles. *Knit together the new first stitch on both parallel needles in the same way as above. There will be two stitches on the working needle. Using one of the two parallel needles, pass the first stitch on the working needle over the second stitch and off the needle, as you normally would when casting off.
Repeat from * until only one stitch remains on the working needle. Break yarn and pull the tail through the last stitch to fasten off.
Pattern notes
The whole garment is knitted holding two strands together: one strand of Cashsilk and one strand of Hermione.
The back, front, and sleeves are worked flat from the bottom up and sewn together.
After the rib, the front is divided and each Front is worked separately, with a band of 35 (35, 37, 37, 38) sts worked in rib and the rest in interrupted rib. The decreases for the front shaping are worked inside the band sts. After all decreases for Front and raglan shaping have been completed, the rem 35 (35, 37, 37, 38) sts are continued in rib for the collar. The front openings are worked with a built-in I-Cord edging.
