Daisy Chain Cowl

This torus (or donut) shaped cowl with an all-over daisy motif is perfect for ushering out cold weather in favor of the springtime. Worked entirely in stranded knitting, the cowl starts with a provisional cast on and is joined with Kitchener stitch. Finish off your piece with the duplicate stitch and you’ll be ready to don this stylish and playful piece.

Materials

Medium weight yarnYarn: Plymouth Yarn Encore Worsted (75% Acrylic, 25% Wool; 200 yards [183 meters]/100 grams): 0217 Black (MC, 1 (2, 3) balls), 0208 White (CC1, 1 (2, 3) balls), 1382 Bright Yellow (CC2, 1 (1, 1) ball)

Needles: US size 8 (5.0 mm) 16” circular.

Notions: Waste yarn for provisional cast-on, tapestry needle.

Pattern

Using Provisional CO method, CO 80 (100, 100) sts in MC and join in the rnd.

Work full chart 5 (7, 9) times, then Rnds 1-17 once more.

Cut CC1 and CC2, weave in all ends.

With MC, knit 1 rnd.

Cut MC, leaving a long tail

With MC, attach beginning and end with Kitchener stitch.

Finishing

Weave in end.

With CC1, use duplicate stitch to finish the last rows of chart.
