Cassidy is a gingham patterned cowl that is great for both beginner and advanced colorwork knitters. Worked in the round and following charts, this cowl works up in no time at all.

Pattern Notes
This cowl is worked in the rnd.
The smaller needles are used for the ribbing and the larger needles are used for the colorwork.
Be mindful of beginning the K3, P2 Ribbing pattern with a single purl stitch, so the 3 knit stitches will align with the center of the 5 stitches in each of the colors once the Gingham pattern begins.
Pattern
With MC and smaller needles, CO 190 sts. Pm for beg of rnd and join to work in the rnd, being careful not to twist sts.
Work in K3, P2 Ribbing for 6 rnds.
Change to larger needles.
Work Rnds 1–10 of Gingham Patt 5 times, then work Rnds 1–5 once more.
Change to smaller needles and MC only.
Knit 1 rnd.
Work in K3, P2 Ribbing for 6 rnds.
BO all sts in patt.
Finishing
Weave in ends.
Block piece to measurements.
