This boho-style headband is light enough to be worn as either a hair accessory or as a cowl! Knitted as a rectangle to start, the pattern will walk you through how simple is it to turn your shape into a boho-chic headband, with a twist.

Stitch Pattern
Row 1 (RS): (K2, p2) 6 times.
Rows 2, 4, 6: Knit the knit sts and purl the purl sts.
Row 3: K1, (p2, k2) 5 times, p2, k1.
Row 5: (P2, k2) 6 times.
Row 7: P1, (k2, p2) 5 times, k2, p1.
Row 8: Knit the knit sts and purl the purl sts.

Pattern Notes
This pattern is worked flat and tied into a knot before making a half twist and sewing or 3-needle bind-off to make a loop.
Pattern
CO 24 sts normally for sewing, or work a provisional CO if using 3-needle bind-off.
Work Stitch Pattern until piece meas about 30”.
Test for length by tying a knot and trying on head.
Finishing
Join work into loop by either BO and sewing together or 3-needle bind-off, making sure that the pattern is continuous. A half twist may be needed.
