Abbreviations
M1R (make 1 right): Pick up the horizontal loop between the stitches from back to front and knit it through the front loop.
M1L (make 1 left): Pick up the horizontal loop between the stitches from front to back and knit it through the back loop.
C6F (cable 6 front): Slip 3 sts onto cable needle and leave at front of work, k3, then k3 from cable needle.
Cdd (center double decrease): Slip 2 sts together, k1, pass 2 slipped sts over.

Sew collar end with button hole along the bind-off edge of the right side of the back.
Sew other end of collar along the bind-off edge of left side of the back. Make sure not to twist collar.

Sew button to garter end of collar.
Weave in all yarn ends. Block to measurements.
