Materials
Yarn:
Cascade 220 (100% wool; 220 yards [201 meters]/100 grams): #9404 Ruby (4 (4, 5, 5, 6, 6, 7) skeins)
Needles: US size 6 (4.0 mm) 24” circular needle and DPNs, US size 7 (4.5 mm) 24” circular needle and 9” circular needle or DPNs
Notions: 8 stitch markers (4 of which need to be marked as lace markers), waste yarn for holding stitches
Abbreviations
PLM: Place lace marker
K1tbl: Knit 1 through the back of the loop
SSK: Slip 1 stitch, slip 1 stitch, knit the two together

Pattern Notes
This sweater is knit in the round from the top down with raglan increases.
Pattern
Using smaller needles cast on 92 (100, 108, 114, 128, 134, 140) sts and join to work in the round being careful not to twist.
Ribbing rnd: (K1tbl, p1) rep to end.
Repeat ribbing rnd until work measures 1”.
Change to larger needles,
Marker set up rnd: *K 1 (1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 2), plm, k13, plm, k1 (1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 2), pm, k31 (35, 39, 42, 47, 50, 53), pm, repeat from * once more.
Raglan Increases
Rnd 1: *K1, yo, k to lm, sm, work lace row from chart, sm, k to 1 stitch before m, yo, k1, sm, k1, yo, k to 1 stitch before m, yo, k1, sm, repeat from * once more. (8 sts increased)
Rnd 2: K all sts (even numbered rows on the lace panel are all knit)
Repeat rds 1 and 2, repeating rds 1-12 of the lace panel between the lace markers 14 (16, 18, 20, 22, 25, 27) more times.
There will be a total of 212 (236, 260, 282, 312, 342, 364) stitches, each sleeve section will have 45 (49, 53, 57, 63, 69, 73) stitches and each body section will have 61 (69, 77, 84, 93, 102, 109) stitches.
Separate Body and Sleeves
*Place the next 45 (49, 53, 57, 63, 69, 73) sleeve stitches onto waste yarn (keep the lace markers in place and make a note of which lace row you have just worked), co 6 (8, 8, 10, 10, 10, 12) sts for the underarm, k across 61 (69, 77, 84, 93, 102, 109) body stitches, repeat from * once more. (134 (154, 170, 188, 206, 224, 242) sts)
Next rnd: K3 (4, 4, 5, 5, 5, 6), place new start of rnd marker, k to end.
Knit 9 (9, 10, 11, 13, 15, 15) rnds straight.
Next rnd: K67 (77, 85, 94, 103, 112, 121) sts, pm, k to end.
Waist Shaping
Decrease rnd: *K1, ssk, k to 3sts before m, k2tog, k1, sm, rep from * once more.
Knit 5 rounds.
Repeat the above 6 rounds three more times. (118 (138, 154, 172, 190, 208, 226) sts)
Knit 3 (3, 4, 5, 5, 6, 6) rounds.
Increase rnd: *K1, m1l, k to 1 stitch before m, m1r, k1, sm, repeat from * once more.
Knit 5 rounds.

Work straight, knitting all rds until work measures 13 (13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 17)” from underarm.
Change to smaller needles.
Ribbing rnd: (K1tbl, p1) repeat to end.
Repeat ribbing rd until ribbing measures 1”.
BO all sts.
Sleeves (Both Worked the Same)
With rs facing return the 45 (49, 53, 57, 63, 69, 73) sleeve sts to a short circular needle or dpns (making sure to keep the lace markers in place) and rejoin yarn.
Pick up and knit 6 (8, 8, 10, 10, 10, 12) sts under the arm placing a new start of the rnd marker in the middle of these stitches and join to work in the rd. (51 (57, 61, 67, 73, 79, 85) sts)
Next rnd: K to lm, sm, work next row of lace chart, sm, k to end.
Continue working in this manner until sleeve measures 5 (5, 4.5, 4, 3, 3, 2)” from the underarm.
Sleeve Shaping
Decrease rnd: K1, k2tog, work to last 3sts, ssk, k1.
Knit 5 rounds.
Repeat these 6 rounds 5 (6, 7, 9, 11, 12, 14) more times. (39 (43, 45, 47, 49, 53, 55) sts)
Work straight until sleeve measures 17.5 (18, 18.5, 19, 19, 20, 20)” from underarm. On the final rnd decrease 1 stitch. (38 (42, 44, 46, 48, 52, 54) sts)
