Sloane Linen Beach Cardigan

Introducing the beach cardigan: Sloane is the official layer of summer sunsets. 100% linen yarn makes a perfectly weathered texture and Qunice & Co’s Kestrel does not disappoint. The ribbon structure of this yarn adds a slight texture to simple knit and purl stitches. Not only does this yarn knit up quickly at 4 stitches per inch, the resulting fabric has incredible drape and gets better with every wash and wear. An easy fit you can wear off the shoulder for casual shoreline strolls. The cardigan is worked in rows from bottom up. Both front ribbing bands are continued and worked until a three-needle bind off combines at the center back neck. After a few shaping short rows, the sleeves are worked in-the-round down to the cuffs.

Mindy Reversible Beanie

This two-tone beanie is right on trend and utilizes a technique that beginners will find a suitable challenge to build their skills. The beanie starts with a provisional cast on, is knit as a tube in one color and then shaped towards the crown to create a traditional beanie. To finish the second half of your new accessory, the hat is then picked up along the provisional cast on and the same thing is done to the other side in a contrasting color. Once finished, one side is turned inside and the brim is folded over, making a 100 percent reversible beanie with a contrast brim.

Lucy Puff Stitch Scarf

This lovely scarf is reversible with wrapped cluster puff stitches set against a background of marled seed stitch. This particular pattern has the puff stitches arranged in diagonal accent stripes, but they can easily be rearranged into an all-over pattern, horizontal stripes or any design that the knitter chooses. The pink and cream yarns create a soft, subtle contrast between the puff stitches and the textured background, but it would be simple to achieve a bolder look by using colors that contrast more strongly. The selvedge stitches of the scarf are worked as twisted slip-stitches for neat edges and the twisted fringe is added with a crochet hook after knitting for a decorative finish.
