Precious as they are, those tiny toesies can’t always be bare, and these frilly socks are an absolutely adorable way to keep those feet covered.
The Socks to Frill pattern knits up super fast, and at 75% wool, they are as soft and comfy as can be for small, tender feet. The frill makes them ideal for dress up, should the need arise, but you’ll still hear plenty of oohs and awws when they’re matched with a jumper or fun onesie.

Skill Level: Intermediate
Size: 1 (2, 3, 4) to fit shoe size 2.5-3.5 (4-5, 5.5-6.5, 7-8)” / [18/19 (20/21, 22/23, 24/25) shoe size EU]. Foot length measure 4.75 (5.25, 5.5, 6)” / [12 (13, 14, 15) cm].
Gauge: 30 sts and 42 rounds = 4” [10 cm] in St st after wet blocking.
The main portion of the Socks to Frill pattern is worked from the cuff down, and in pieces, so it’s exceptionally easy to make. Then the frilly lace section is worked in rounds and joined to the provisional cast-on. As with all the patterns in I Like Knitting, this pattern comes with all the directions you need, including:

You really can’t go wrong here; these socks look great, they’re comfortable to wear year ‘round, and they’re fun to make and give as gifts.
