Pattern Notes
The Dog’s Cowl and Human Infinity Scarf is knit in the round. The paw and stripes pattern is repeated 1 (1, 2, 2, 3, 3) times for the Dog’s Cowl and 12 times for the Human Infinity Scarf. The Provisional CO is joined to the opposite end with Kitchener stitch technique for a truly invisible join and infinity loop appeal.
The chart is followed from bottom to top, working each row from right to left and knitting all sts, 4 times around for the Human Infinity Scarf. The Dog’s Cowl chart is worked 3 (4, 5, 6, 7, 8) times around.

How much yarn is needed for the hat so we can order it all together and have the same lot number for three pieces?
Hi Louise! It looks like you will just need one more skein of each color for the hat: https://www.ilikeknitting.com/magazine/knitting-hat-patterns/paw-some-hat/

Hello Annette! The charts can be found underneath the photos on right hand side of the page. I’ve pasted a link here as well: https://www.ilikeknitting.com/wp-content/uploads/Paw-some-Dog-Cowl-Matching-Paw-some-Infinity-Scarf-Chart.png

On the website there is this direction after the round 30:
Rep Rnds 1-30, 0 (0, 1, 1, 2, 2) more times.
For Extra Small and Small Size Cowl proceed to directions for join ends.
For Medium, Medium – Large repeat Rnds 1 – 30 one more time, then proceed to directions for join ends.
For Large and Extra-Large repeat Rnds 1 – 30 two more times, then proceed to directions for join ends.
They are the same directions as on the website, perhaps these are more easy to understand?
The question is What size of the dog cowl the reader would like to make?
If the dog cowl size is too short for your particular dog, you could make an extra repeat of the R1 – 30 which is approximately 2.75″ long when folded, or 5.5 inches when flat.
Love the dog cowl. After row 30 don’t seem right. Aren’t there top and bottom stripes? Should we repeat rows 1 – 18 again? Would love to have updates instructions to try this pattern.
Thank you
Hi April, we’ve reached out to the designer for clarification and she or I will reply as soon as we can! Thanks! – Nicola
