Hi, It’s been 10 days since I posted my question. I’d like to finish this vest so I can wear it before Spring. Are we close to getting an answer?
Sorry to be a pest but I had to scroll on my phone to see the pattern. So, I knit 21 and cast off 37. 91 back stitches minus 58=33 stitches. Then decrease 4 by repeating the 2 decrease rows once. Leaves 29 stitches. Which is what I have. I don’t know how to get to 17 stitches remaining. Thanks
Sorry, it posted before I finished. I knit 23 and bind off 37 stitches that leaves 31 back stitches. Then I’m decreasing 6 by repeating the decrease rows 3 times. How do I have 17 stitches remaining for the left back? The math doesn’t seem right. More importantly, what do I do now? Or conversely, what did I do wrong? Once again, thank you for your kind assistance.
I have another question regarding this pattern. When I start Shape Back Left Neck I have 91 back stitches. I knit 21 (put on holder), bind off 37 stitches which leaves
I don’t have a favorite on this one, others have favorite bar. Where is the chart for this vest?

I have two questions related to this pattern. In the XL size where you decrease to steek the armholes where to you repeat from there is no *
Also it says to knit to 2 stitches before the bind off stitches then SSSK. Is the third stitch of the SSSK after the bind off stitches? It doesn’t look right to me. Thank you for your kind assistance.
Hi! The pattern has been updated above. Please let me know if you have any further questions!
Thank you! Much appreciated!
Hi Nicola, I have another question about the Cozy Fireside Vest pattern. I posted in the thread but I don’t think you’ve seen it. I’m at Shape Back Left Neck. I have 91 back stitches, knit 21, cast off 37. 91 minus 58 leaves 33 stitches. Then decrease 4 by repeating the decrease rows leaves 29. How do I get to 17 stitches remaining? I don’t know what to do. If it was a couple of stitches I would fudge it but 12 is a lot. Appreciate your help. Thanks
Hi Nicola,
I posted a question on the Cozy Fireside Vest comment section in February but I have not received a reply yet. My project is staled until I find out what to do. Could you please have a look and advise? It’s Shape Back Left Neck. Thank you for your kind assistance, much appreciated.
I’m at the Add Steek stitches for armholes in Cozy Fireside Vest. Medium (Large, 1X/2X, 3X) Sizes Only
Dec rnd/Cast on Armhole Steeks: Work in patt to 2 sts before underarm bind off, sssk, pm, cast on 11 sts for steek, pm, k3tog; rep from * 1 more time, work in patt to end.
I have 2 questions: 1. When you SSSK you only have 2 stitches left do you take the 3rd slipped stitch from after the bind of stitches? I ended up with a 1 inch hole, it didn’t look right.
2. Where is the repeat from * star? I don’t see one.
I have never steeked armholes so I’m not sure what it’s supposed to look like. I’m stuck until I hear from someone who can help. Is there a video tutorial? Thanks 🙂
I can’t find the “finished measurements “ anywhere. Not sure if I need a large or XL this way (or something in-between. Thanks!
