Needles: US Size 6 & 7 (4.0 & 4.5 mm) (24”) circular needle or size needed to obtain gauge

With larger needles, cast on 81 (91, 101, 111) sts. Knit 5 rows.
Next row (RS): Knit 27 (32, 37, 42) sts, pm, work Large Eyelet Diamonds patt beg on Row 1 over 27 sts, pm, knit to end.
Next row (WS): Purl to m, sl m, work Row 2 of Large Eyelet Diamonds patt to m, sl m, purl to end.
Cont to work in patts as established until work meas 3” from cast on edge.

Shape Waist

(Note: Read through this section, waist shaping occurs while changing st patts.)
Dec row: Knit to 2 sts before m, ssk, sl m, work in patt to m, sl m, k2tog, knit to end. (2 sts dec’d, 79 (89, 99, 109) sts)
Cont to work in patts as established, rep Dec row every 6th row, three more times. (6 sts dec’d, 73 (83, 93, 103) sts rem)

After waist shaping in complete, cont to work in patts as established, end with Row 26 of Small Eyelet Diamonds patt. Work meas approx 15” from cast on edge.

Shape Armholes

Front Left Strap
Next row: Bind off 5 (5, 6, 6) sts, knit to center 17 (27, 25, 35) sts, place rem of sts onto holder, turn work.
Next row (WS): Purl.
Dec row 1: K1, k2tog, k to last 3 sts, ssk, k1. (2 sts dec’d)
Rep last 2 rows, 4 (4, 5, 5) more times.
Dec row 2: Knit to last 3 sts, ssk, k1. (1 st dec’d)
Next row (WS): Purl.
Rep last 2 rows, 4 (4, 6, 6) more times. (12 (12, 14, 14) sts rem)
Cont to work in St st until strap meas 7 (8, 8½, 9)” from armhole.
Bind off all sts.

Front Right Strap
Pick up center 17 (27, 25, 35) sts from center front, and rem held sts on front and place onto needle.
Next row: Bind off 17 (27, 25, 35) sts, knit to end. Turn work.
Next row (WS): Bind off 5 (5, 6, 6) sts, purl to end.
Dec row 1: K1, k2tog, k to last 3 sts, ssk, k1. (2 sts dec’d)

Finishing

Using tapestry needle, sew straps seams and side seams.

Neckband

Using smaller needles with RS facing and beg and center of left shoulder seam, pick up and knit 31 (35, 37, 39) sts down left strap, pick up and knit 17 (27, 21, 31) sts at front center, pick up and knit 31 (35, 37, 39) sts up right strap, pick up and knit 31 (35, 37, 39) sts down right strap, pick up and knit 17 (27, 21, 31) sts at back center, pick up and knit 31 (35, 37, 39) sts up left strap. (158 (194, 190, 218) sts)
Knit 1 rnd. Purl 1 rnd. Bind off all sts k-wise. 

Armhole borders (work for each armhole)

Using smaller needles with RS facing and beg at center of underarm sts, pick up and knit 70 (80, 86, 90) sts around entire armhole.
Knit 1 rnd. Purl 1 rnd. Bind off all sts k-wise.
Weave in all end.
