Ocean Spray is a long triangular shawlette or scarf that is just the right length to wrap around the neck once. Garter stitch is knit to a looser gauge to create a soft cushy fabric that drapes nicely, and the lacy edge provides interest and charm. This shawlette is perfect to wear underneath a coat or as an accent piece in warmer weather.

Finishing
Weave in ends, and block into gentle triangle shape to open up lace design. Block edging into rounded motifs.
What is the Lace Chart? I see nothing that specifies as the actual lace chart. I guess I am stupid, but I have never tried to knit a lace shawl. All I see is Part1 and Part 2.
Hello! Charts are always on the far right side of the pattern page underneath the photos. Here is a direct link to the charts as well:

More photos, please.
Hi Linda, I found one additional photo in our files, so I’ve added it above. Hope this helps! – Nicola, Editor
Sorry ignore last comment. It is 74
In this instruction the last line of Part ‘A’ , there are 72 stitches on needle not 74 as mentioned, because you are only working up to Row 10—“Work one more repeat up to row 10 of Lace Chart. (74 sts) “. Please verify that I am correct. If I am the first few rows of part ‘B’ also have the wrong number of stitches in brackets.
What does the V stand for in the chart for the Ocean Spray Shaw
Cannot understand repeat of row 32 and 33. Do I repeat chart row 2 and three or do I go to the next rows till I get to 9
Sorry those needle sizes are mentioned in the ocean spray shawl
Do I use 4.5m needles for garter stitch and 3.75 for lace.
