This is a crescent, sideways shawl inspired by a unique stitch pattern that’s reminiscent of Jarrahdale Pumpkin leaves along the border. The yarn colorway is subtle and the striping colors blend delicately into the next color. The shawls lends itself to be draped over the shoulder to provide added warmth for those breezy fall days.
What’s a Jarrahdale Pumpkin?
Jarrahdale is a type of pumpkin that appears light blue and has an orange, sweet center. It originated from Australia and resembles a blue hubbard squash and a Cinderella pumpkin.

You will need to weigh your yarn on a yarn scale before and as you work the shawl. If you are not using a scale, you MUST swatch to get gauge and follow the repeats of the sample of 12/7/12 (Increase Section/Even Section/Decrease Section).
This is the size of the sample (51” x 13”), please keep in mind the size of your shawl will vary depending on your yarn yardage.
Pattern
Note: The sample was worked with 12/7/12 repeats. Please remember, you need to repeat the sections according to your own yarn skein yardage unless you have gotten gauge.
