This shawl is worked flat from end to end. Stitches are picked up and knit for the ruffle edging. The shawl has three sections, the right slanting section, the center wedge, and the left slanting section. To make this shawl longer and deeper just continue knitting Section 1 to increase the number of sts, work center section adding short rows until the last W&T is worked 2 sts before the end, and then work the same number of repeats in section 3 as you did in section 1.

Ruffle Edging
Pick up every other st along the bottom curved edge of the shawl. This will be the side without the increases or decreases. *Pick up and k1, yo; rep from * to end.
Row 1 (WS): Purl.
Row 2 (RS): Knit.
Repeat Rows 1-2 6 more times.
Bind off as follows: K2, *slip 2 sts from right needle to left, k2tog tbl, k1; rep from * to end. (1 st rem). Break yarn and pull through remaining st
Finishing
Weave in ends and trim. Wash and block using wires to straighten out the top edge and pins to pin out the curved bottom edge.
