Small Square
CO 24 sts, pm after 12th st.
Row 1 (WS): Knit.
Row 2 (RS): Sl1 pwise, wyib k to 2 sts before marker, ssk, sm, k2tog, k to the end of the row. (2 sts dec’d)
Row 3 and all odd rows: Knit.
Rep Rows 2-3 until 2 sts remain after working a decrease row.
Do not knit back on these 2 sts. K2tog and fasten off last st.
Medium Square
CO 36 sts, pm after 18th st.
Work same as for Small Square.
Large Square
CO 48 sts, pm after 24th st.
Work same as for Small Square.
Extra Large Square
CO 72 sts, pm after 36th st.
Work same as for Small Square.

CO 48 sts, pm after 12th and 36th sts.

Do not knit back on these 4 sts. Skp twice. With remaining 2 sts, k2tog. Fasten off.
Medium Rectangle
CO 72 sts, pm after 18th and 54th sts.

With A, work Large Square 1.
With B, CO 12 sts. Pick up and k12 sts on the top right of Large Square 1. Work Small Square 2.
With C, pick up and k12 sts along the left edge of square 2. Pick up and k24 sts along the remaining top edge of square 1. CO 12 sts. Work Small Rectangle 3.
With B, CO 24 sts. Pick up and k48 sts along the left edge of rectangle 3 and square 1. CO 24 sts. Work Large Rectangle 4.
With D, CO 36 sts. Pick up and k12 sts along the top edge of square 2. Work rectangle 5.

Weave in all ends.
Surface Crochet
Using F, make a slip knot. Hold yarn and slip st on WS of Towel. Insert hook at the bottom edge of Towel between square 1 and rectangle 4 from the RS to WS. Pull up slip st with hook. Reinsert hook approximately 0.25” above the slip st. YO and pull through to RS and through the slip st. Cont in this manner to the bottom edge of square 10. Surface crochet all vertical lines first followed by all horizontal lines.
Sc around the outer edge of Towel.
Work in all ends.
Primaries Dish Towel
Using E, CO 72 sts. Work following directions for Medium Rectangle.
Using A, CO 18 sts. Pick up and k18 along the right half of E rectangle. Work following the directions Medium Square.
Using C, pick up and k18 sts along left edge of A square. Pick up and k18 along the remaining top edge of E rectangle. Work following directions for Medium Square.
Work in all ends.
Finishing
Surface crochet starting with edge between the two squares. Next surface crochet between the rectangle and the squares. Sc around the outer edge. Work in all ends.
Neutrals Dish Towel
Using B, CO 72 sts. Work following directions for Medium Rectangle.
Using D, CO 18 sts. Pick up and k36 sts along the top edge of the previous rectangle.
