Finishing
Cut yarn and thread through remaining st and fasten off. Weave in ends. Soak hat in warm water and then remove excess water by pressing in a towel. To accentuate the beret shape of this hat, block over a small bowl or plate. Take care not to overstretch the brim (use waste yarn to cinch in the rib). Leave to air dry.
This beret looks amazing! I can’t wait to start!
It says to move the marker,, but where was it in the first place? Please explain what the marker is for, thank you s much !
Hello! I’ve reached out to the designer for advice and she or I will reply as soon as possible. Thanks! – Nicola, Editor
Hello Melinda! It doesn’t actually say in the pattern but it’s the start of round marker. This pattern is worked in the round from the bottom up. The start of the round/marker needs to move as stated to accommodate the lace.
Hope that helps! -Nicola, Editor
