This beautiful lace pattern forms diamonds for a classic heirloom throw. Make it as a gift for a special event like a wedding or anniversary. It looks classic in white, but would be just as nice in bold, winter hues.

Size: 49″ wide x 70″ long [124 cm x 178 cm] including border

Abbreviations
Make 1 (Inc) (M1): Lift strand between needles to left-hand needle and work strand through the back loop, twisting it to prevent a hole, [knit or purl as indicated by pattern st].
K2TOG: Knit 2 sts together.
SSK: Slip next two stitches knitwise to right needle, insert point of left needle through front of sts, knit these sts together through back loop
PSSO: Pass slipped stitch over.
Pattern Notes
Throw is worked back and forth in rows on circular needles, do not join.
Join a new ball of yarn when there are approximately 6″ [15 cm] of yarn left from the old ball, also leaving a 6″ [15 cm] tail of yarn with the joined yarn. Weave these ends in neatly on the wrong side of the fabric in a zigzag pattern for a few inches, and then trim off excess.

This is one project I will certainly attempt this year…lovely
It looks really beautiful. I am going to do it as a wedding gift for my niece. It is alright using the Sugar Cream Cotton Pink with it.
