I am an experienced beginner and familiar with Circular needles. Why use the magic loop? Would that mean that I shouldn’t use just circular needles? I am confused.
Yes, you can use short circular needles which are short enough for knitting in the round, the magic loop is meant for knitting with longer circular needles which lots of knitters tend to use, I for example knit socks and even mitten thumbs in the round with with 80 cm / 24” circular needles using magic loop technique. Sorry for the confusion, Joanna
