Pattern Notes
The scarf is worked flat in two pieces each beginning with a provisional cast on and ending with the frilled standard bind off. The two pieces are then joined by unraveling the provisional cast on and joined using the 3-Needle Bind Off.
The first and last 3 sts of every row are worked in Garter St. The lace is a 10-st repeat worked 3 times across a row. The lace increases, decreases and yarn overs all occur on the RS row. On the WS, you simply knit the knits and purl the purls and yarn overs. The pattern is both written and charted. The written and charted instructions include the 3-st Garter St borders. If you are working off a single skein of yarn, you may want to divide your yarn into half and knit each piece. You can weigh your yarn before knitting and work the pattern repeats until you use up nearly half your yarn.
