This cozy triangular scarf is both simple and stunning. It is entirely garter and is simple enough for a beginner but beautiful enough for knitters of all skill levels to love. The stripes are made up of black and four different shades of blue, and all of the color changes are utilized to create the fringe so there is not a single end to weave in.

Finishing
The only finishing required is creating the fringe and this can be done either after the entire scarf is worked, or done in parts after every few rows.
Starting at the CO edge, hold the first 3 strands together (consisting of 2 strands of MC and 1 strand of CC1) and tie an overhand knot, then slide the knot as close to the scarf as possible. From this point on, hold the next 4 strands together (consisting of 2 strands of the MC and 1 strand each of two different contrasting colors) and tie an overhand knot, then slide the knot as close to the scarf as possible, until 3 strands remain. Hold the 3 strands together (consisting of 2 strands of the MC and 1 strand of CC1) and tie an overhand knot, then slide the knot as close to the scarf as possible.
Using the scissors and tape measure cut all the fringes to approximately 6”.
