Size: About 66” long prior to Kitchener St, or desired length

Gauge: 14 sts = 4” [10 cm] on US 10

Materials:

Yarn: Plymouth Yarn Encore Chunky (75% Acrylic, 25% Wool; 143 yards [131 meters]/ 100 grams): #0658 Blue Heather (MC), 3 balls; #0208 White (CC), 3 balls

Needles: US size 10 (6 mm): DPNs.

Notions: Cable needle (cn); stitch markers; tapestry needle; waste yarn for Provisional Cast On; spare DPN for working Kitchener St

Sl 7 sts to cable needle (cn), hold to back, k7, k7 from cn.

Pattern Notes

This pattern is worked entirely in the round starting with a Provisional Cast on and uses Kitchener Stitch to close.

Pattern

Provisional CO 68 sts.
Rnd 1: With CC k6, place maker (PM), work Color Chart A over next 18 sts, PM, switch to MC, k1, p2, k14, p2, k1, PM, work Color Chart B over next 18 sts, PM, switch to CC, k6.
Rnd 2: With CC k6, slip marker (SM), work Color Chart A over next 18 sts, SM, switch to MC, k1, p2, k14, p2, k1, SM, work Color Chart B over next 18 sts, SM, switch to CC, k6.
Rnds 3-5: Rep Rnd 2.
Rnd 6: With CC k6, SM, work Color Chart A over next 18 sts, SM, switch to MC, k1, p2, C14B, p2, k1, SM, work Color Chart B over next 18 sts, SM, switch to CC, k6.
Rnds 7-17: Rep Rnd 2.
Rnd 18: Rep Rnd 6.
Rnds 19-24: Rep Rnd 2.

Rep Rnds 1-24, 11 more times or until piece meas desired length, ending with a Rnd 23.

Finishing


Remove waste yarn from Provisional Cast On and place live sts on spare DPN. Use Kitchener St and continuing Color Charts as established above to complete Rnd 24.

Weave in all ends.
