Border

Starting at the marked point on the front or back side, sew the strip to the edge of the front/back. Work the same way on the other piece.

Note: Instead of sewing you can hold the back of the front/back piece and the edge of the strip together and work them together with a row of sc inserting crochet hook through both pieces.

Fasten off.

Finishing

Weave in all ends.

Place the plastic canvas piece inside the Bag. Stitch the bottom portion of the strip to the plastic canvas.

Place one piece of the purse handle at the edge of the bag. Fold the stockinette edge in half while holding the purse handle in between. Using the tapestry needle sew the bind off edge to the first row of garter stitch. Rep for the other side.

Your bag is ready. If you prefer, you can line it.
