Size:  7” / [18 cm] x 9.5” / [24 cm]

Gauge: 32 sts and 40 rows = 4” [10 cm] in St st using smaller needles after wet blocking.

Materials

Yarn: Garnstudio Drops Fabel (75% Wool, 25% Polamide; 224 yards [205 meters]/50 grams): 103 grey blue (C1, 1 skein), 114 grey (C2, 1 skein), 102 pink (C3, 1 skein), 101 mink (C4, 1 skein).

Needles: US size 1½ (2.5 mm) set of 4 DPNS or 40” (100 cm) circular for magic loop.

Notions: Tapestry needle, stitch markers (3)

Special Stitches

Twisted Rib:

Rnd 1: *K1tbl, p1; rep from * to end of rnd.

Rep Rnd 1 for patt.

Pattern

Cuff

With C1, CO 72 sts. Join in the rnd being careful not to twist the sts. Pm to mark beg of rnd.
Rnds 1-12: Work in Twisted Rib.

Leg

Change to CC2.

Rnds 13-42: Knit.

Heel Flap

Change to CC3.

Row 1(RS): K18, turn

Row 2: Sl1, p35, turn. (36 sts)

Row 3: (Sl1, k1) 18 times, turn

Row 4: Sl1, p35, turn. (36 sts)

Rep Rows 3-4, 16 times more, ending with a WS row.

Heel Turn

Row 1 (RS): Sl1, k20, ssk, k1, turn.

Row 2: Sl1, p5, p2tog, p1, turn.

Row 3: Sl1, k to 1 st before the gap, ssk, k1, turn.

Row 4: Sl1, p to 1 st before the gap, p2tog, p1, turn.

Cont to work in patt until all heel sts are incorporated. Last 2 rows end on a ssk and p2tog. (20 sts)

Gusset

Change to CC4. 

Set-up Rnd: K20, pick up and knit 18 sts, pm, k18, pm, pick up and knit 18 sts, k10, pm to mark beg of round. (92 sts)

Rnd 2: K to 3 sts before marker, k2tog, k1, sm, k to marker, sm, k1, ssk, k to end of rnd. (90 sts)

Rnd 3: Knit.

Rep Rnds 2-3, 11 more times. (68 sts)

Foot

Change to CC1.

Work in St st until the Foot meas 8.25” / [21 cm] from back of heel.

Toe

Change to CC2.

Set up Rnd: K17, pm, k34, pm, k17.

Rnd 1: (K to 2 sts before marker, k2tog, sm, k1, ssk) twice, k to end. (64 sts)

Rnd 2: Knit.

Rep Rnds 1-2, 7 times more. (36) sts)

Rep Rnd 1, 5 times more. (16 sts)

Next Rnd: K to first marker. Place the next 8 sts on one DPN and the rem sts on the first DPN. Remove all markers. Graft sts together using Kitchener st.

Finishing

Weave in all ends.
