Catherine Larkins

Catherine Larkins is retired and lives in beautiful southwest Colorado. She has a BS degree in Home Economics and has knitted and crocheted since she was a teenager.  Since retiring she has organized a stitchery circle to do community projects and offers free knitting and crochet lessons to people who participate. She loves projects that are simple and functional. Other than her crafting she serves on the boards of directors for an American Indian health education non-profit and a local community art education program.

Northwoods Twisted Cowl

From the October 2019 issue

Quick knits are a warm welcome for relaxing days at the cabin. Bands of stockinette and reverse stockinette stitches add thickness and make this cowl reversible. The cowl is knit just to fit over the head and keep the neck and shoulders warm.
