Yarn: Lily Sugar ‘n Cream (100% cotton; 120 yards [109 meters]/71 grams): #00015 Wine/#01699 Tangerine/#01318 Black Current/#01612 Country Yellow/#01130 Warm Brown (1 ball)
Needles: US size 7 (4.5 mm) knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge
Pattern
Cast on 42 sts.
Knit 6 rows (garter st).
Row 1 (RS): K4, purl until 4 sts rem, k4.
Row 2: K5, *(k1, p1, k1) into next st, p3tog, rep from * to until 5 sts rem, k5.
Row 3: As row 1.
Row 4: K5, *p3tog, (k1, p1, k1) into next st, rep from * to until 5 sts rem, k5.
Rep rows 1 to 4 until work from beg measure 7½” or [19 cm], ending with a row 4.
Knit 6 rows.
